Beavis on the brick wall on the back of the shared patio in our side yard. It used to be a pig pen in the 1940s, but now there's a fance down the middle (you can see it in the right edge of the picture). Cats always walk past the fence to where you can't get them.

Back to the deer at Normanby Park near to Scunthorpe in the UK. I missed the rutting season this autumn, but these two had a quick fight over some food the other weekend while I was there. First time I'd seen deer 'fight' up close - apart from on the TV.

Iguana

Iguana is a herbivorous genus of lizard native to tropical areas of Central America and the Caribbean. The genus was first described in 1768 by Austrian naturalist Josephus Nicolaus Laurenti in his book Specimen Medicum, Exhibens Synopsin Reptilium Emendatam cum Experimentis circa Venena. Two species are included in the genus Iguana: the Green Iguana, which is widespread throughout its range and a popular pet, and the Lesser Antillean Iguana, which is endemic to the Lesser Antilles and endangered due to habitat destruction.
The word "iguana" is derived from a Spanish form of the original Taino name for the species "Iwana".

Anyone can come in contact with a goat of the storefront. I feel sense of incongruity for a name called "the egg of goat", but in fact, it is the name of the cakes.
It is made based on a lemon cake. The cloth of the cake mixes the goat's milk and the goat's cheese, and the surface is coated with white chocolate.

I was in Memphis on buisness, and had some free time. I went to the Memphis Zoo because they have a pair of Giant Pandas! The zoo was practically deserted. I was able to get right up to the glass, and manipulate the angle of my camera to avoid the glare from shooting through the enclosure. Lots of my shots have some artifact of reflection, to varying degrees. I'll be sharing a few more. Just look at this guy! Isn't he (she) awesome?!?!?

2010 is the year of White Tiger or Metal Tiger beginning on February 14th.
Puppy dog Luna does not want the Year of the Dog, 2009, to end just yet...thus the tiger stripes and blue eyes! There are advantages to disguising one's self, especially when you are white in color.
And, let's not forget, on February 14th is Luna's birthday too! He'll be 2 years old.

I remember Márton character at the famous work of Swedish author Selma Lagerlöf, and also TV cartoon series, The Wonderful Adventures of Nils, in original, Nils Holgerssons underbara resa genom Sverige, 1906.
This is not Márton!... This is a funny white duck at the half frozen pond at snowy Bolu Mountains near a motel. It lives with duck family. They can't fly away like Márton and geese because they are too heavy to fly. However they are well fed and protected... The same dilemma as Selma Lagerlöf described.

Oscar Wild(e) wird heute ein Jahr alt und bekommt natürlich eine eigene Kamera geschenkt. Sie scheint ihm zu gefallen. (Danke für die freundliche Unterstützung des Ideengebers Klaus!) - Today Oscar has birthday and now he´s one year old. He receives of course as present his own camera and I think, he likes it! (Thanks very much to Klaus for the funny idea!)

In Memoriam - Floppy Pig: 9/15/08 - 10/22/08
We regret to inform you of the passing of Mr. Floppy Pig, who was found dead in his home early this morning. Cause of death has been determined to be mutt-induced trauma accompanied by massive loss of stuffing.
His beslobbered remains will be interred in a Glad 13-gallon kitchen bag, inside a Simple Human wastecan.
A favorite of man and dog alike, Floppy Pig is survived by Squeaky Slice of Cake, Rubber Bouncy Thing, Fuzzy Blue Bone, and a ratty Penn #2 tennis ball.
