A few nice animals that are extinct images I found:
HARLAN'S GROUND SLOTH (PARAMYLODON HARLANI)
The Central and South American tree sloths of today look and behave quite differently than their relatives, the extinct ground sloths.
Harlan's Ground Sloth had a wide distribution across North America. It was a slow-moving plant-eater. This animal had a bone-studded hide, which, combined with its strong, sharp claws, and large size, protected it from predators.
The ground sloths are related to modern armadillos, anteaters, and tree sloths. They arrived in North America late in the Age of Mammals, crossing the land bridge of the Isthmus of Panama that formed about 3 million years ago and linked North and South America.
