Pyro's Fire

Named for the fiery image his colors conjure, he's a male eastern box turtle, Terrapene carolina carolina. Males of this species are much brighter than the females and have red eyes, while the female's are brown. Pyro was found in Maryland, and is one of the most vibrantly colored eastern box turtles I have ever seen, including ones from online image searches.
