Baird's tapir

The elusive tapir - the rarest animal we saw all trip. These are an endangered species- this particular one is wearing a tracking collar to keep an eye on his movements.

Roughly pig shaped, the size of a hippo, with a downright strangely shaped snout - it made for a very interesting animal.
